Overview
This Refund Policy is part of the SkinCash Terms of Service and constitutes a binding agreement between you ("User") and SkinCash.
SkinCash operates as a digital item trading platform where users can sell their CS2 in-game items (skins) directly to the platform in exchange for balance credit or cryptocurrency payouts.
By initiating any transaction on SkinCash, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this policy in full.
Digital Goods Disclaimer
All items traded through SkinCash are classified as digital goods and virtual assets. These items exist solely within the Steam ecosystem and are subject to Steam's own terms and restrictions.
- Once a trade is confirmed and the item is transferred, the transaction is considered final
- Digital item transfers on the Steam platform are irreversible by nature
- By completing a sale, you voluntarily waive any right of withdrawal under applicable consumer protection laws, to the extent permitted by law
How Selling Works
When you choose to sell an item through SkinCash, the following process applies:
- You select one or more items from your Steam inventory and initiate a sale
- SkinCash presents a price offer based on current market conditions
- Upon acceptance, a Steam trade offer is sent to your account
- Once you confirm the trade offer on Steam, the item is transferred to SkinCash
- Your account is credited with the agreed amount after the item clears any applicable hold periods
Steam may impose a trade hold period (typically 7 days) on received items. Your payout will be processed after this hold is lifted.
When Refunds May Apply
While transactions are generally final, SkinCash recognizes that certain exceptional circumstances may warrant a review:
- Item delivery failure — If a confirmed trade does not result in SkinCash receiving the item due to a platform error, the transaction will be voided and no payout will be issued. The item remains in your possession.
- Verified technical malfunction — In cases where a demonstrable system error led to incorrect pricing, duplicate transactions, or processing failures, SkinCash will investigate and may reverse or adjust the affected transaction on a case-by-case basis.
- Account compromise — If you believe your account was accessed without authorization and transactions were made fraudulently, contact our support team immediately. Refunds in such cases are only possible if the associated funds have not already been disbursed.
Non-Refundable Scenarios
SkinCash will not issue refunds under the following circumstances:
- Change of mind after a trade has been accepted
- Price fluctuations in the skin market after sale confirmation
- Delays caused by Steam trade protection or hold periods
- Misunderstanding of the offered price, payout timeline, or platform mechanics
- Errors made by the user during the transaction process (e.g. selecting the wrong items)
- Marketplace purchases where the trade offer has already been sent to the buyer
Marketplace Purchases
When purchasing items from the SkinCash marketplace:
- The purchase amount is deducted from your balance upon order confirmation
- A Steam trade offer is sent containing the purchased items
- Once the trade offer is sent, the purchase cannot be reversed
- If the trade offer expires or is declined, the purchase amount will be refunded to your balance
- Items received through marketplace purchases are subject to Steam's standard trade protection period
Payout Processing
Payouts are initiated after the sold item has been received and verified by SkinCash. Processing timelines depend on several factors:
- Steam trade hold duration (if applicable)
- Blockchain network congestion for cryptocurrency payouts
- Internal security and fraud prevention checks
SkinCash strives to process payouts as quickly as possible but does not guarantee specific processing times.
Refund Method & Timeline
In the event that a refund is approved:
- The refund will be credited to your SkinCash balance by default
- If the original transaction involved a cryptocurrency payout, the refund may be issued in the same currency, subject to network fees
- Standard refund processing takes up to 14 business days
- Complex cases involving third-party verification may take up to 45 business days
Dispute Resolution
If you believe a transaction was processed incorrectly or you have a legitimate refund claim:
- Contact our support team with your transaction details and a description of the issue
- Include any relevant screenshots, trade offer IDs, or transaction references
- Our team will review your case and respond within 5 business days
- SkinCash reserves the right to make the final determination on all refund requests
Policy Updates
SkinCash reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
